Lansdowne Resort and Spa is passionate about celebrating the incredible richness of the local land by giving back to the many native plants, insects and animals that call it home.
Lansdowne provides a waystation for monarchs to rest their wings as well as accessibility by guests for their education and enjoyment. These "natural wonders" as they are often called, can first be seen at Lansdowne in late summer as they journey to the northern United States and Canada as part of the most spectacular butterfly migration in the world. Beekeeping and Honey
Lansdowne’s honey program harvests more than 250 pounds of the sweet nectar from almost 20 honeybee colonies or 1 MILLION bees, and the honey produced is used at the various restaurants for seasonal dishes and cocktails.
