Pool Hours

The outdoor pools are currently closed for the season. The health and safety of our guests and employees is our highest priority. We ask that the following rules be adhere to when enjoying the pool at Lansdowne. Monday – Thursday pool availability is on a first come first service bases. Friday – Sunday pool reservations are required. Outdoor pools are open from 10:00am – 7:30pm in 2 hour time blocks, with a 30 minute cleaning period in between. Time blocks are as follows:

10:00am – 12:00pm
12:30pm – 2:30pm
3:00pm – 5:00pm
5:30pm – 7:30pm

Only registered resort guests & members are allowed access to the pool.

The Aquatic Complex 

The Aquatic Complex at our Leesburg, VA hotel provides the perfect entertainment for your next family vacation in Virginia, offering five pools, sunny relaxation and delicious refreshments. Children can enjoy playing water games in the "walk in" active pool or taking a ride down our waterslide. Discover the cascading waterfall into the lower pool. Choose the heated indoor lap pool at this Leesburg, VA hotel for year-round exercise and enjoyment.

CURRENTS

Currents is currently closed for the season. Named after the currents of the Potomac River, which runs past Lansdowne, Currents Pool & Grill offers a fun environment for adults and families to escape the city. With its liquid libations, good food and family-friendly features, you’re sure to have a great time. Dining is currently available at the outdoor pools for pick-up only.

The cabanas are currently closed for the season. The Health & Fitness Center and the Aquatic Complex are only accessible by members and resort guests. Members and registered hotel guests are required to display their membership cards or room key to enter these areas. Lansdowne reserves the right to ask for these items for anyone wishing to use these facilities.

Lansdowne has cabanas available for rent. Cabanas include: covered lounge area with living room style seating; fan; big screen TV with Direct TV access; safe; refrigerator; and lounge chairs in an extended sunbathing area.

Cabana Amenities

Covered lounge area with living room style seating; fan; big screen TV with Direct TV access; safe; refrigerator; and lounge chairs in an extended sunbathing area. Half Day rental will receive a $25 Food and Beverage Credit and Full Day Rental will receive a $50 credit. The refrigerator will be stocked  with waters and cold towels and sunscreen will be provided.

Potomac Heritage Trail offers amazing views of the river from bluffs high above.
Loudoun Trail, which connects to other regional trails, includes historic points of interest such as Ball’s Bluff, a famous Civil War battle site.
Lansdowne Loop offers a 2.5 mile route through the Lansdowne community.
Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park is home to a 1.6-mile, moderately trafficked loop that’s accessible year-round, appropriate for all skill levels, dog-friendly and primarily used for hiking and walking.
Waterford Dirt Ride is a 27.5-mile loop primarily used for mountain biking and rated as moderate.

 

The Potomac Heritage Trail offers amazing views of the Potomac River from the bluffs high above or The Loudoun trail, part of a series of Northern Virginia trails that connect the region. You can run, hike or walk along the river and cross historic points of interest like Ball's Bluff, a famous Civil War battle site.

For those looking for a faster pace, just steps out our front door is the Lansdowne Loop, a 2.5 mile paved pathway. The course is sure to provide you with a challenging run through the Lansdowne community.

Check out both of these spots also on our NEW bikes! Take the cross over bikes, ideal for the Heritage Trail bordering the Potomac River and  W&OD. Or ride our cruiser bikes, for riding along any paved path. Bikes are available to rent from Get Out and Go Tours. Please reserve 24 hours in advance to ensure the reservation. Basic bike rental fee is $25 per day. Kids trailers and bikes are available for $10 per day. 

Nearby is the Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional park, a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail! The Waterford Dirt Ride is a 27.5 mile loop trail located near Leesburg and is rated as a moderate trail and primarily used for mountain biking.

GEORGE C. MARSHALL'S DODONA MANOR

MORVEN PARK

BLACK SHUTTER ANTIQUE CENTER

For over 20 years, this nineteenth-century house has played host to 40 antique dealers, peddling goods out of the house’s plethora of rooms. If you’re in Northern Virginia, this is the place to go to hunt down some treasures from the past.

ROOTS 657

Satisfy every craving at the intersection of Routes 657 and 15 in Leesburg, Virginia. Owner and chef Rich Rosendale serves up house-made soups and sandwiches alongside the goods of local artisans. Top off your pit stop at this rustic café with a homemade treat from their bakery.

OLD LUCKETTS STORE

The 138-year-old general store is anything but “general.” Its history is fascinating, switching from family home, to post office, to general store, and now making its name as a treasure trove of antiques. Explore the house’s 20 rooms brimming with everything from vintage furniture to accessories.

TALLY HO THEATER

Recently renovated, this Leesburg theater was originally built in 1932 and is now back and better than ever. Tally Ho Theater has something for everyone, hosting concerts, theater, and other events.

It’s Americas only National Park for the Performing Arts, bringing classical, jazz, pop, and many more styles of musical acts to Vienna, Virginia. With a community outreach element of internships and youth arts programming, it is a great organization to support.

6 P.M. | LEESBURG’S FIRST FRIDAY

If you’re lucky enough to be in Leesburg the first Friday of the month, make sure to meander to the historic downtown district. Each month, 45 shops, art galleries, restaurants, and more open their doors and offer free refreshments and special sales. Not to mention, complimentary live music all around!

9 P.M. | GRAB A BREW AT DELIRIUM CAFE

While you’re downtown, head over to this European-style brewpub with craft Belgian-style beers on tap and plenty of spirits available for your less hop-inclined travel partners. Check out their food menu for a late-night bite for bar food made with locally sourced ingredients. Everything from poutine to crispy goat cheese balls are waiting to satisfy that munchie craving.

10 A.M. | LATTE AND LATE BREAKFAST

Head to quirky café Shoe’s Cup & Cork for a world-class breakfast and coffee. Be sure to ask the barista if they can pull off a little latte art for you – guests have been known to find their favorite animal in their cappuccino foam.

1 P.M. | TAKE A TOUR

Take a guided tour of the Udvar-Hazy Center, and maybe even ride on one of their flight simulators. It is a pick-your-own-adventure setup where you can choose from a trip back in time to the first powered flights of the jet age, or to the future for a ride on a futuristic spacecraft, passing by the Milky Way Galaxy. The Udvar-Hazy Center is the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum companion center in Virginia.

6 P.M. | DINING ON VIRGINIA HISTORY

Coton & Rye, a Lansdowne Resort restaurant, celebrates Virginia by paying tribute to the area’s past. Executive Chef Marcus Repp partners with local farms to cultivate quality ingredients and recipes in an ode to Loudoun County’s agricultural past. Stop in for classics like chicken pot pie and Virginia-style iron pan steak topped off with locally crafted beer and wine.

SUNDAY

1 P.M. | APPRECIATE HISTORIC HOMES

Make the most of your last day in Leesburg by experiencing history up close at the former residence of General George C. Marshall. One of America's greatest statesmen, Marshall is known for being the organizer of the Allied Victory in World War II, for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Now, Marshall’s home, Dodona Manor, is a National Historic Landmark dedicated to preserving his legacy. Adventure through history with a tour of the well-preserved manor and its 3.8 acres of gardens.

WINERY 32

A true family operation, this winery has sat on the same 32 acres for over 30 years, owned and operated by Michael and Roxanne Moosher. Their daughter Chantal is even involved, as the artist behind their eclectic, colorful label designs. Taste their variety of vintages from their patio overlooking the vineyard pond or, during the colder months, nestled up by the fire at their tasting center.

LOST RHINO BREWING COMPANY

Back in 2011, founder Matt Hagerman set out to fill a void in Loudoun County. With not a craft brewery in sight, he started Lost Rhino Brewing Company to satisfy the hoppy tooth of his neighbors. Enjoy a full tour of their brewhouse, now nine years in the making, or just kick back in their tasting room for a brew and bar bites.

STONEHOUSE MEADERY

Mead is a bit of an elusive concept to some – wine fermented with honey – but it is delicious, and Stonehouse is the best place to try it. This family-owned meadery uses the highest quality local honey to ferment with.

BLUEMONT VINEYARD
