Lansdowne Resort Chefs Earn Several Honors at Loudoun County Chocolates Galore Event

The sweet smell of success became the sweet taste and look of success for the Lansdowne Resort culinary team at the 27th Annual YMCA Loudoun County Chocolates Galore & More event near Washington, DC on Friday night.

Lansdowne chefs brought home three major awards from the event held in Leesburg, VA:

  • Critic's Choice: Best Presentation - hors d'oeuvre
  • People's Choice: Best Presentation - hors d'oeuvre
  • People's Choice: Best Taste - hors d'oeuvre

"This is an amazing accomplishment for our team and a great source of pride," said Lansdowne Resort executive chef Robert Bradley. "It's great to win these awards, and we accept them humbly, but the biggest winners are the children whose lives will be changed by the thousands of dollars raised here tonight."

Since its inception 27 years ago, the Chocolates Galore & More event has become an immersion into culinary arts, the Loudoun community and, most importantly, giving back. It's also YMCA Loudoun County's largest fundraiser, garnering funds that are used to help children in need take part in life-changing programs such as mentoring, camp and afterschool care.
