Lansdowne Resort Brings 7th IACC-Certified Conference Center to DH&R Portfolio
On February 15, 2012, Lansdowne Resort entered a new era as the AAA Four-Diamond property near Washington, DC, joined the national portfolio of Destination Hotels & Resorts. The nearly 500-acre resort is about 40 minutes west of the Nation’s Capital and only eight miles away from Dulles International Airport (IAD), strategically located in Loudoun County – one of the most affluent and fastest-growing locations in the country.
Lansdowne Resort has been a fixture in Northern Virginia for leisure guests and groups for more than two decades. The hotel houses 296 rooms and 14 suites amidst a sprawling property which includes 45-holes of championship golf with courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, II and Greg Norman. The 12,000-square foot Spa Minérale is a true destination spa and offers the latest spa treatments and services.
However, for all of Lansdowne’s assets and accolades, it is widely recognized as one of the most significant and recognized International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) in the country. The Conference Learning Center comprises 50,000 square feet of function space including two ballrooms, 33 meeting rooms, amphitheatre and outdoor pavilion. Over the years, the IACC-certified conference center has earned many honors including: Award of Excellence; Gold Key Award; Golden Tee Award; Pinnacle Award; Inner Circle Award; Best of the South; and certification from Virginia Green.
