Lansdowne Gives Back This Earth Day
Monday is Earth Day and at Lansdowne, we are always looking for a way to help better our community in Northern Virginia. This year, weather permitting, we will be all over Loudoun County as we spend the afternoon cleaning up the streets and the historic and picturesque Potomac River.
This year, we’ve invited our guests to join us in the day’s events. Want to know where to find us or help out? Here’s where we’ll be.
Monday, April 22 2:00pm – 5:00pm, weather permitting
Beautification of Lansdowne Blvd.
The staff and any guests that wish to participate will be cleaning the median of Lansdowne Blvd. between Woodridge Parkway and Riverpoint Drive for about an hour, starting at 2pm.
Potomac River Clean-Up
The staff and any guests that wish to participate will be cleaning up the river beds along the Potomac including the bank of the river and the Potomac Heritage Trail. If you would like to join us, please meet in the parking lot of Lansdowne at 2pm to be driven down to the river by hotel shuttle or meet us down there! We will be cleaning both up and down stream, meeting in the middle at Goose Creek.
The more the merrier, but if you are unable to join us, we hope that you’ll be able to do something in your community to celebrate this important day.
Happy Earth Day!
