New Products, Offerings Unveiled for Spring and Mother’s Day Gift Giving

Lansdowne Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie MacDowell as Director of Spa for Spa Minérale. MacDowell joins Spa Minérale most recently from The Woodhouse Day Spa. She also served as the General Manager at the Eivind and Hans of Georgetown Salon and Spa.

Lansdowne Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Lesly Connolly as National Sales Manager. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, she is a results-driven professional specializing in revenue-focused strategies and solutions designed to engage targets, capture opportunities, and increase profitability in the field of hospitality and corporate events.

Kevin Blake has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage for Lansdowne Resort, located in Leesburg, Virginia. Blake is an accomplished chef, certified sommelier, and food and beverage executive with demonstrated success managing high-level operations at world-class destinations. Blake, a seasoned hospitality veteran, has over 30 years of experience, joining most recently from Creighton Farms in Middleburg, VA.

Deborah Porter has been appointed Director of Events for Lansdowne Resort, located in Leesburg, Virginia. Porter is an accomplished events executive with demonstrated success in directing large, integrated projects and process improvement initiatives from idea through successful implementation. Porter, a seasoned hospitality veteran, has over 20 years of experience.

Awilda Nevarez, has been appointed Director of Human Resources of Lansdowne Resort located in Leesburg, Virginia. Nevarez rejoins the team of Lansdowne Resort with a proven track record of success in the hospitality industry. Nevarez comes to us most recently from the Inn at Perry Cabin Resort.

Chris Ferrier, has been appointed Executive Chef of Lansdowne Resort located in Leesburg, Virginia. Ferrier is an accomplished food and beverage hospitality executive with a successful history of leading profitable Food & Beverage operations in large hotels, resorts and inclusive outlets and meeting spaces. Ferrier’s background includes experience in high-volume kitchens and 4-star resorts, banquets and fine dining.

Sandy Minskoff has been appointed National Sales Manager of Lansdowne Resort located in Leesburg, Virginia. With more than twenty years of hospitality and management experience, Minskoff is positioned to cultivate relationships that introduce new business as the resort moves through post pandemic recovery.

Kevin Carter, CHA, has been appointed Managing Director of Lansdowne Resort, located in Leesburg, Virginia. Carter takes the helm with close to 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as the President of Guests, Inc., a full-service hotel management company headquartered in Strasburg, Virginia. Carter’s vast experience includes positions such as Director, Corporate Director, Resident Manager, General Manager, Independent Consultant and 16-year tenure as the Managing Director of Airlie Resort Hotel.
