Just arrived home from my 8th annual girl's weekend with two college friends and had yet another fabulous time at Lansdowne. Everything from the beautiful room, swimming pool, courteous staff at breakfast (Eduardo) to the beautiful interiors made our weekend special. Many thanks to Brian in Stonewalls for great service with a smile, a friendly attitude, and many laughs - He made the difference! Can't wait to for our next trip.

My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the Lansdowne Resort. We travel quite a bit and stay at only 4-5 star hotels. When we are trying to decide about a hotel we have found online, we compare the number of positive reviews with the negative ones. Lansdowne had so many more positive reviews we decided to book for Memorial Day weekend. We are SOOOOOOO glad we did. The place is beautiful and the staff was just wonderful.

As Memorial Day weekend was very hot, we were glad that they had several pools. The largest pool had a giant slide which attracted most of the kids while leaving the quiet pools just that-quiet. We found the resort to be very relaxing. We never had a problem getting a lounge chair-something we often encounter at other resorts.

We ate at the buffet breakfast every morning and they served something for most everyone. They even had an omelet station. The On The Potomac restaurant was delicious. The duck breast was amazing and not fatty. The restaurant by the golf club…had great burgers and a very nice assortment of beers. We also liked the way they ran the gift/sundry shop. It was always open. They sold soda, snacks and toothbrushes, etc. and you paid at the front desk.

Lansdowne is also near great outlet shopping, malls and wineries. And, the town of Lansdowne is very quaint and a nice place to visit. It is a very nice place. Ignore the complainers!

The employees, and I mean every employee, were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was comfortable, especially the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was great with tons of choices for all of us. Dinner at the Crooked Billet was equally delicious with fantastic, friendly service. I would definitely return for a weekend getaway with the family, even though we live only 45 minutes away.
